4 Quick Apply Full-time 21 hours ago Full Job Description The Customer Service Representative serves as the face and the voice of the office, as they are typically the first employee to interact with patients both in person and over the phone.
The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the willingness to serve others at all times, and acute attention to detail handling the work tasks of the position.
The position requires thorough documentation of patient information and accurate application of insurance plans.
The position is fast paced and requires the ability to ascertain and document thorough medical histories.
The customer service Rep also promotes, sells, and trains on contact lens purchases and care.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone) Maintain a friendly, polite, professional, empathetic, and helpful attitude at all times during both internal (fellow employees) and external (patients) exchanges.
Greet patients promptly with a smile as they enter the office and thank them when they leave Polite, empathetic, and helpful phone etiquette.
Practice urgency at all times with patients' time, as well as doctors' time and schedule Follow all practice protocol for maintaining a full office schedule for patient care.
Responsible to responding to online requests for appointments.
Schedules appointments in accordance with established office template.
Efficiently operate all practice software programs for patient management, task follow up requests from the doctors, and application of payments for material purchases.
Must be able to pull simple reports and provide data entry on spreadsheets.
Must be able to use email and google documents for communication.
Must be able to apply multiple forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, and care credit.
Must be able to make change for cash paying transactions.
High degree of organizational skills to maintain a neat, presentable, and functional front desk area.
CSR will be responsible to knowing how to check eligibility and authorize both medical and vision insurance plans.
Must have all insurance pulled for the patient schedule at least 2 days in advance.
Responsible for checking voice mail messages at least twice per day and responding to all voicemail messages promptly, but no later than 24 hours after the message has been left.
Follow scripting and promote contact lens sales with an eagerness to explain value of purchasing from TEI and a focus on contact lens capture rate.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of insurance benefit plans and how to apply them to contact lens sales.
Inputs contact lens orders in Point of Sale system and manufacturer ordering site.
Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA Recommend to branch manager improvements in sales and service.
General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager May be required to switch home office location to meet company needs.
